Swedish Apple Pie

4-6        apples
1 T.       Sugar
1 T.       Cinnamon
3/4 c.    Melted butter
1 c.       Sugar
1 c.       Flour
1           Egg
1/2 c.    Chopped nuts (optional)
Pinch    Salt
Sprinkle  Vanilla


Directions:  Core and slice apples.  Fill 9" or 10" pie plate 2/3 full of apples.  Sprinkle with tablespoon each of sugar and cinnamon.  Combine remaining ingredients.  Spoon over apples.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.  Serve hot or cold.
