We feature Minnesota Apple Varieties

You Can Pick-your-Own apples or buy Pre-packed fruit in the store. We grow and sell up to 15 different apple varieties throughout the season

We’ve had great apple growing weather at Ocheda Orchard and are looking forward to a wonderful 2020 Apple Season! Because of COVID-19 and MN regulations, there will be a few changes at Ocheda Orchard.

1. Our season will be shorter August 17, 2020 – October 31, 2020,

2. Our hours will change with a later starting time during the week:       Monday – Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m    Sunday 1:00 P.M. – 5:00 p.m.

 3. FOR PREPICKED APPLES or other purchases in the sales room, we ask that customers practice 6 feet social distancing, follow a one-direction circular traffic pattern and wear face masks. Other safety changes will be a clear barrier between the cashier and customer, additional outdoor payment stations and no apple samples for tasting.

 4. FOR PICK YOUR OWN (PYO), we will provide plastic bags as usual, but our workers will not handle or weigh your picked apples. Prices will be determined by the bag size, not the weight. We will offer newer ½ peck bags in addition to peck bags for our PYO customers. For example, 1 peck (app. 10 pounds) of PYO Haralson or other standard varieties will be ____________________; 1 peck of PYO HoneyCrisp or other premier varieties will be ___________.

5. If you would like to order over the phone and have us bring it to your car, we will gladly do so. Phone 507-376-3255 to place the order and arrange a pick-up time. Call again when you arrive in the parking lot.

 6. We will provide hand sanitizer, outdoor handwashing stations, and porta-potties.

 7. Our workers will clean and sanitize throughout the day and wear facemasks when assisting customers.

 8. According to CDC guidelines, if you are sick, or someone in your house is sick, please have someone else pick up apples for you, or wait until you’ve recovered before coming to the orchard.

9. Additional information/instructions will also be posted at the orchard. Because things are so uncertain, we reserve the right to make changes as needed. If you have questions, please call 507-376-3255.
