Apple Cake with Caramel Sauce |

Cake Ingredients: |

Apples, peeled and sliced |

Chopped walnuts or pecans (optional) |
Caramel Sauce Ingredients: |
1/2 cup |
Butter |
1/2 cup |
Cream |
1/2 cup |
White sugar |
1/2 cup |
Brown sugar |
1/2 tsp |
Vanilla |
Directions: |
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream sugar and butter. Mix in remaining cake ingredients. Bake in a greased and floured 9x9 pan for 35 minutes or until done. |
2. To make caramel sauce, combine all ingredients except vanilla in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Serve cake with sauce while still warm. |
